Eir Customers In Clare Criticise Company’s Customer Support Service

Eir is facing calls to improve its customer service from a host of disgruntled customers throughout Clare.

The calls have come from listeners to Clare FM’s Morning Focus, after it aired the story of Ennisman Seosamh O’Loughlin today.

He faced a six-week wait for broadband to be switched on his new home – during that time, he says he made over 60 calls to the company, and the matter was only resolved on Friday after Clare FM made contact with Eir after he had come forward with his story.

A host of other listeners from throughout the county also criticised the company’s customer support today, while last week the Dáil heard complaints from TDs and even a suggestion from Minister Eamonn Ryan that ComReg should get involved.

Seosamh says it was an extremely frustrating experience.
