Efforts To Prevent Trauma Of Homelessness For Children Making An Impact

Novas has welcomed the reduction in the number of children in emergency accommodation in the Midwest, saying it’s vital to prevent the trauma of homelessness for young people.

New figures from the Department of Housing show 156 children in Clare and Limerick had no permanent roof over their head in October, a 7% drop on the previous month.

But there were 369 homeless adults in the region in the last week of October, representing a 4% rise on September’s figures.
