Efforts To Eradicate Invasive Plant Species

Efforts are being made to wipe out an invasive plant species that’s spreading across Clare.

Japanese Knotweed is dotted around the County and can spread quickly and unhindered across watercourses, wastelands and transport routes.

Clare County Council is now trying to map the spread of the Knotweed in an attempt to eradicate it.
