Third level education in Clare has been given a boost, with news that the local Education and Training Board has teamed up with GMIT in Galway.
The alliance between GMIT and the Limerick and Clare ETB aims to increase access and alternative routes to higher education.
The plan will see the institutions work together on helping those taking post Leaving Cert courses make the transition to third level, as well as linking up with second level students on potential opportunities.
