The Department of Education has approved almost 213 thousand euro in funding for the construction of a new extension at an East Clare School.
The grant will allow for the 105 square metre development at Ogonnelloe National School, which will comprise an 80 square metre mainstream classroom, with ensuite toilets and facilities for assisted users.
It follows a lengthy campaign from the school community in the area.
