WRC Talks To Take Place As Avara Pharma Uncertainty Continues

Talks on the future of Avara Pharma in Shannon will be held at the Workplace Relations Commission on Friday, in an effort to save the jobs there.

The High Court appointed liquidators to the pharmaceuticals firm, which employs 114 people, over a month ago and since then, discussions have been ongoing.

Union representatives have been meeting with the liquidators in recent days in an effort to save the jobs and now, Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey has confirmed that the next step will see talks progress to the WRC.
