Shannon Chamber Urges Clare Businesses To Address Gender Pay Gap

Shannon Chamber is urging businesses across Clare to take action now to be ready for the implementation of the landmark gender pay gap bill.

The bill, which was first introduced to the Oireachtas last year, is currently in the process of being enacted and aims to address the growing gap in earnings between men and women.

Ireland witnessed a 2% increase in its gender pay gap between 2014 and 2017, from 12% to 14%, and this figure is well above the European average.
