Mid-West Has Third-Highest Unemployment Rate – CSO

The number of people employed in the MidWest grew by almost 4,000 in the first three months of this year.

New CSO figures show 215,800 people are working in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary, and that the unemployment rate here stands at 5.5%.

That’s marginally higher than the same time last year, and only the South-East and the Midlands have higher reported unemployment rates.
