Fresh Meeting To Be Held On Future Of Avara Pharma Jobs

A fresh meeting on the future of jobs at Avara Pharma in Shannon is taking place today.

Members of SIPTU are once again meeting with management of the pharmaceutical firm, with the union insisting the plant can be saved from closure.

The High Court appointed liquidators to the firm on July 29th and since then, efforts have been ongoing to save the 114 jobs.
