An Ennis retailer is issuing a fresh call for car parking charges in the county town to be abolished.
Mary Kelly of Kelly’s Newsagents on O’Connell Street in Ennis says the hourly fee to park a car in the town is putting shoppers off coming in.
She fears people are now more likely to visit business parks and larger stores on the outskirts of the town, where they can park for free, rather than come into the centre.
