Community Employment Supervisors Strike As Pension War Rages On

Around 1,400 Community Employment scheme supervisors – including nearly 30 in Clare – are on the picket line today in an ongoing dispute over pension entitlements.

They’re calling on the government to implement a Labour Court Recommendation issued in 2008 that a pension scheme be put in place for them – 12 years on, they are still waiting on that to happen.

Labour, Fianna Fáil and Social Democrats have at different times over the past 12 months come out in support of the demands of CE supervisors.
