Breen Called On To Ensure Clare SMEs Can Access Brexit Loans

Clare’s Junior Minister is being called on to ensure that small businesses in Ireland are able to draw down loans to help prepare against the impact of Brexit.

It comes a survey found that despite having a similar loan application rate to other Euro area countries, Ireland’s SMEs have a rejection rate almost double the EU average.

The Local Enterprise Office in Clare has said that a range of supports are available for SMEs that need it, including a discounted Brexit Loan Scheme through the banks.
