€200,000 Awarded To Clare Towns And Villages

Over €200,000 has been awarded to seven Clare towns and villages under the Town and Renewal scheme.

The local measures are part of an overall €4.3 million in funding to help rural towns and villages across the country to adapt to life under Covid-19.

Some €40,000 has been earmarked for a new 7km recreational trail in Ennis, along with town improvement measures in Milltown Malbay and recreation space and a playground in Inagh.

Other areas receiving a boost are Lissycasey, Lisdoonvarna, Crusheen and Scariff.

The funding is facilitated through the Government’s July Stimulus package.
