€2.2m Granted To Help Elderly And People With Disabilities To Adapt Homes

Over €2 million in funding has been announced to help the elderly and those with disabilities in Clare to remain in their home.

It’s part of a 75 million euro fund announced by Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien for Housing Adaptation Grants across the country.

Clare County Council will receive a combined total of just over 2.2 million for repairs and other adaptations people need to live in their homes.

Grants of up to €30,000 are available to help people with a disability to carry out necessary works, while up to €8,000 is available to assist older people and up to €6,000 for mobility aids.
