Over 2.1 million euro has been made available to adapt the homes of elderly people in Clare with mobility issues this year.
The Department of Housing is providing around €1,713,000 of this to Clare for the next 12 months, which is a 3.2% rise on the figure from last year.
The local authority will add a further 20%, bringing the total fund in the county for 2018 to €2,141,000.
