Drop In Clare’s Live Register Figures

There’s been a drop of more than 17 percent in the number of people signing on in Clare in the space of a year.

There’s also been a significant drop in dole queue numbers in the past month, according to the latest figures.

There are now 5,093 people signing on around the Banner County.

As is to be expected, the largest portion of 2,721 are in Ennis, with 813 in the Ennistymon area too.

There’s also 806 signing on in the Kilrush district and a further 753 in areas associated with the Tulla social welfare office.

In total, this means there are now 1,075 less people on the dole in Clare than there were at this time last year.

There’s also been a significant drop in dole queues here in the space of a month.

In April, there were 5,273 people signing on in Clare – some 180 more than the figure for last month.

This is in line with the usual drop heading into the busy summer season in Clare, with the biggest drop coming in the North Clare area, which is where many of the county’s tourist hotspots are located.
