Smart technology is to be used in a major crackdown on illegal dumping.
Clare County Council has already introduced mobile CCTV cameras, but a new initiative from the Environment Department will see increased use of CCTV in problem areas, together with the use of drone and satellite imagery.
A Killalloe area Councillor doesn’t believe the new measures will solve the problem though, as Clare FM’s Conor Quaid reports:
