Doolin operators urged to strike deal on ticketing terminal

Ferry companies operating out of Doolin have been told to strike a deal on a common ticketing terminal as plans for a new pier there gain pace.

The Government has written to Clare County Council confirming that it will invest six million Euro in the project, which aims to boost tourism in North Clare.

It’s hoped that this will include a new ticketing terminal, to be shared by all ferry operators in Doolin, and they’ve been told to come to an agreement on this by management at Clare County Council, before presenting plans to the local authority.
