Dooley Urges Government To Back Shannon Airport

The Government is being called on to put increased supports in place for Shannon in order for the airport to compete effectively with Dublin.

Deputy Timmy Dooley is reacting to the axing of United Airline’s Shannon Chicago route this week, which has been described as a blow to the region.

The Fianna Fáil TD believes that the motorway between Cork and Limerick would have hige benefits for Shannon Airport and inists a high speed rail link between the Mid-West Facility and Dublin Airport would improve links between the two.
