There’s been a dip in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO shows 51 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick today, 27 of those in the emergency department.

It’s a significant drop on yesterday’s figures of 65, but the Dooradoyle facility remains one of the busiest in the country.
