Dedicated Helpline For Patients At Risk Of CPE Exposure

A dedicated helpline has been set up to allay any concerns from patients who have been identified as being at risk of CPE exposure.

The UL Hospitals Group has begun writing to over two thousand patients who shared a ward or clinical area with a patient who tested positive for the superbug, to inform them that they have been designated a CPE contact.

It’s part of a national programme announced by the HSE in August, off the back of recommendations from an expert group.
