Cut To Respite Care Hours ‘Playing Havoc’ With Well-Being Of Families In Need

It’s claimed the cut to respite care hours in Clare is playing havoc with the well-being of those who need it.

Figures released by the HSE show that there were over 13,800 respite care hours delivered in the Mid West last year, to allow carers for children and adults with a disability have a break.

That’s down from over 14,500 the year before, leading to concern that those in need are finding themselves without the service.
