Another former Mayor of Clare has announced he won’t be standing in May’s local elections.
Miltown Malbay Councillor Christy Curtin’s decision brings an end to forty years of continuous service on Clare County Council.
Having missed out in 1974, he was first elected to the Council in 1979 and in 2010 he was elected as the county’s first citizen.
