TV Producers Committed To Hiring Local Crew in Lahinch

Producers behind a new drama series filming in Lahinch says they’re committed to hiring local crew.

North Clare is in for an economic boost, when filming for “Smothered” begins in the tourism hotspot in February, with the production lasting 12 weeks.

The RTÉ and BBC co-production is part-funded by the Western Region Audiovisual Producers Fund, which sees grants rolled out through local authorities to support film and television projects in the west.
