The historic Spancil Hill Fair is getting underway this morning.
The traditional horse trading fair has been held in Clare for centuries now, with the first charter for it granted by King Charles over 300 years ago.
Horse owners will be trading and bartering and while in years gone by, war horses were sold there, today it’s mainly animals that will go on to participate in shows.
