The long-awaited Shannon Town Park is to be officially opened this morning.
Work has been ongoing since January on the project, which includes native woodland, a natural water feature, footpaths, cycle paths and a bandstand area.
The €1.5 million development was funded both by the local authority and The European Regional Development Fund.

The ribbon will be cut to officially open the park by the Mayor of Clare, Councillor Cathal Crowe at 9 o’clock this morning.
