President Higgins has praised older people throughout Clare for their efforts to support people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A letter from the President was read out at this week’s Clare Older People’s Volunteer of the Year Awards ceremony, in which the top honour went to Mary Slattery, who was nominated for the honour by the Cratloe Active Retirement Group.
Each nominee is to receive a framed copy of the President’s letter in recognition of their service to their communities.
