Pence Will Be “Welcomed With Open Arms” In Doonbeg If He Visits

The Chair of Doonbeg Development says the US Vice President will be welcomed with open arms, if he visits Ireland later this year.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has been in contact with the US administration about a proposed visit by Mike Pence, but while it’s expected that he’ll visit in early September, nothing has yet been confirmed.

Mike Pence’s great grandmother was from Doonbeg and he’s spoken in the past of summers in Clare and Sligo.
