North Clare is in for an economic boost with confirmation that a new drama series will be filmed there next year.
Cast and crew will be in Lahinch to being a 12-week shoot from February, on what’s understood to be a BBC and RTE co-production.
Full details of the project have yet to be revealed, but it’s understood that a key factor in securing the show for Lahinch is the Western Region Audiovisual Producers Fund, which sees grants rolled out through local authorities to support film and television projects in the west.
