McKee Family Thank Public For Support Since Death Of Sinn Féin Councillor Mike

The family of Mike McKee have thanked the public for the outpouring of love and support they have received since the Shannon councillor passed away.

The 61-year-old Sinn Féin representative died on November 29th, following a battle with cancer.

The December meeting of Clare County Council, which was due to sit last evening, was adjourned for a week as a mark of respect and members of the McKee family attended to hear tributes from Mike’s council colleagues.

His daughter Jeanette says they’ve been bowled over by the words said about him since his passing.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Clare has been reflecting on Cllr McKee’s political legacy.
