Illegal Dumping Problem Worsening In East Clare During Pandemic

Fresh calls have been made for CCTV cameras to be installed at a number of locations around South-East Clare in a bid to stop the ongoing scourge of illegal dumping.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat O’Gorman, who put forward the motion, says the problem has now become serious in a number of locations, particularly in Cratloe and Meelick.

The call has received the backing of Councillors in the Shannon Municipal District, and the logistics of installing cameras are now being looked at.
