Ennis Named Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre

Ennis is again among the big winners at this year’s National Tidy Towns awards.

Clare’s County Town has been named as Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre, a prize it last claimed in 2017.

However, Ennis was narrowly beaten to the top prize as Glaslough in County Monaghan won the overall title as Ireland’s tidiest town.

The winners have been announced at a ceremony at The Helix in Dublin this lunchtime, which has seen Kilrush join Ennis as a gold medallist.

There have been bronze medals for Ballynacally, Ballyvaughan, Mountshannon and Quin, and other awards for Corofin, Ennistymon and Spanish Point.
