East Clareman Describes Experience Of Volunteering In Fight Against Australian Wildfires

An East Clareman who has been helping fight wildfires in Australia has spoken of the devastation of seeing the impact of the blazes firsthand.

Trevor Lenihan from O’Callaghan’s Mills has been living in Australia for six years, currently based in Brisbane, and works as an engineer there.

Before coming back home for Christmas, Trevor volunteered with the local fire service to battle some of the fires near the city and plans to do the same once he returns to Australia, if needed.
