The death has been announced of a long-serving East Clare priest.
Fr, JJ Rodgers of Killanena was ordained in June 1959, and later served as Curate in Kilmaley and Corofin.
He subsequently took up roles in Co. Tipperary, including over ten years as parish priest in Templederry.

Until recently, he contuned ministry in his native Killanena and he will be laid to rest there on Monday following funeral mass.
