Concerns Falling Passenger Numbers At Shannon Impacting On Communities

Concerns have been raised that falling passenger numbers at Shannon Airport are affecting communities across the county.

Parish Priest of Sixmilebridge, Father Harry Bohan raised the topic in his liturgy over the Bank Holiday weekend, calling for more to be done to support Shannon’s growth to give the county a boost.

It follows concerns raised both locally and in the Dáil in recent weeks, with passenger numbers at Shannon continuing to fall, while a number of routes have been lost this year.
