Clare’s Sarah McTernan will represent Ireland in the second semi-final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv tonight.
The Scarriff woman will perform second, with her song ’22’, in a bid to reach Saturday’s grand final.
She’s one of 18 acts taking to the stage from 8 o’clock tonight, with ten progressing to the final.
This year’s contest has been overshadowed by calls to boycott the event, over the conflict in the region, but some aid agencies believe Eurovision presents an opportunity to highlight the situation in Israel and Palestine.
