Clare TD Calls On Housing Minister To Address Issue Of Derelict Buildings Here

Clare’s Independent TD is calling on the Minister for Housing to develop a strategy to bring derelict buildings in this county back into use.

Under the Derelict Sites Act, Clare County Council is responsible for dealing with derelict sites here and making compulsory land purchases.

Deputy Michael McNamara is calling for a review of the Act in its current form, while claiming the issue affects a number of towns here, including Kilrush, Killaloe and Ennis.
