The Chair of Clare’s Joint Policing Committee has questioned the decision by An Garda Síochána to remove all warning signs in speed camera zones.
Yesterday saw the rollout of over 900 additional speed cameras nationwide, which increased by half the number of zones covered in Clare.
There is now a total of 36 areas in the county where drivers can be caught speeding by these cameras but none of them will be covered by the signpost warnings that have been in place for a number of years.
