Brennan Family Reflects On Laura’s Legacy On First Anniversary

In other news, Today marks one year since Ennis woman Laura Brennan lost her battle with cervical cancer at the age of 26.

The prominent HPV vaccine campaigner was a vocal advocate for the life-saving injection right up until the days before her passing.

Her legacy continues to be felt, with the HSE revealing last month that the uptake rate for the vaccination in Clare now sits at 90%, while it’s 80% nationally – that figure was just 50% when Laura began her campaign.
