Clare’s Senator says US attempts to deport Irishman Keith Byrne have struck fear in the hearts of an estimated 50,000 undocumented Irish.
The Corkman was arrested by officers of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency earlier this month, and pressured to agree to leave the country.
Senator Conway, who’s his party’s Seanad Spokesperson on Justice, says it’s another reminder of how the American Dream can become a nightmare.
