A Clarecastle man has condemned the actions of those responsible for desecrating the graves of his family members.

Gardaí say they’re following a definite line of inquiry, after the headstone of the Slattery Family was split in two and knocked to the ground at Clareabbey last month.

It’s the second time in the past ten years that the same grave has been targeted – the original headstone, which was erected in 1946, had to be replaced a decade ago after a similar incident.
