Calls are being made for insurance companies to provide flood damage cover to residents in Shannon.
Severe flooding has not hit the area for a number of years, but residents in the area have reportedly been refused policies from insurers when looking to protect their homes.
Sixmilebridge Councillor John Crowe has now asked insurers to review the measure and reverse their decision.
