Gardaí Search For Drivers Of Car Involved In Theft Of Councillor’s Jeep

Gardaí are searching for the drivers of a car seen travelling in convoy with a stolen vehicle last week.

Clare Councillor Pat Hayes was canvassing for his party colleague, Timmy Dooley in the Clooney area last Thursday night, when his grey Volkswagen Tiguan jeep, with the registration 171 CE 1175 was stolen.

Gardaí are examining CCTV footage and carrying out extensive inquiries of the area in an effort to locate the vehicle.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Tríona O’Rourke is appealing for information on a car they believe was involved in the crime.
