Clare County Council meetings are to be curtailed as a result of COVID-19.

Starting this week, new guidelines are being implemented, on top of others which had been in place, such as the wearing of masks and social distancing.

Now, those attending meetings will have to fill out a form declaring they are healthy, while meetings will be limited to under two hours going forward – a similar situation is already in place for in-person Oireachtas Committee meetings.

The Council has moved its meetings from its Ennis headquarters to the larger space of Glór, a situation that is likely to persist for the foreseeable future.
