The CEO of Ennis Chamber is hoping that a long term plan for the town will help attract much needed investment.
It follows confirmation that the Taoiseach is to visit the town next month to launch Ennis 2040, which is expected to include a vision for rejuvenating Ennis and set out long-term development goals.
There are projections that the population of the town and its surrounding areas will increase to 50,000 by 2050, and this plan will look to set out plans for the investment required to cater for this.
