Councillors have approved the construction of a social housing development of eight homes just off the Tulla Road in Ennis.
That’s after consultations with local residents, who had expressed concerns that the new homes could impinge upon their privacy.
Following consultations, a number of measures were agreed between Clare County Council and the residents of the Elm Wood estate, and after these discussions, local representatives have signed off on the plans for the €2 million project.
