Councillors Defer Decision On Controversial Road

Clare Councillors have deferred making a decision on the route of the Limerick Northern Distributor Road.

While the route for the 120 million euro road was selected, a concerted campaign by its opponents helped force a special Council meeting on the issue last evening.

However, as Limerick Councillors are to make a decision on their section of the road next month, local representatives here deferred their discussions until the situation there becomes clearer.
