Clare’s Councillors are again calling for more funding for local services here.
The call came after a cross-party motion at last evening’s Council meeting determined the extent to which government funding for the local authority has fallen in recent years.
In 2008, Clare County Council says it received 19.8 million euro from the Local Government Fund but last year, when it’s funding came from the Local Property Tax, this dropped to 6.8 million.
