Disappointment has been expressed at the amount of funding allocated to the installation of defibrillators in Ennis.
The Town Council's Community and Arts Grants will see €1,500 given to the project, while €5,000 has been awarded to the Ennis Street Festival, €1,000 to the Ennis Garden Festival and €500 to Clare Music Makers.

The town already has 2-3 defibrillators in place, but Independent Councillor and campaigner Paul O'Shea feels more money should be given to protect the welfare of residents and visitors in Ennis.
