Councillor Claims Illegal Dumpers Are Throwing Bags Of Rubbish Out Of Their Cars

It’s claimed the persistent problem with illegal dumping in this county is out of control.

It comes as it’s revealed 37 individual environmental complaints were logged by the County Council last month, the majority of which related to dumping.

Legal proceedings were initiated against two individuals under the Waste Management Act 1996 but it can often be difficult to trace those responsible.

It’s proven to be a persistent problem in many areas and Independent Clonlara Councillor Michael Begley isn’t impressed.
